Which permissions does Form History Control require?

Required permissions for core functionality:

  • Access your data for all websites: This is required to discover user input fields and forms. This add-on will store data entered by the user for later retrieval. It is also required for filling in fields upon user action.

  • Access browser tabs (tabs): This is needed to retrieve the url and title of a tab which is recorded along with the formhistory data entered on that page.

  • Input data to the clipboard (clipboardWrite): This permission allows a user to copy (parts of) formhistory data to the clipboard in order to paste it into a formfield on a website or use it in an external application.

Optional permissions for added functionality:

  • Download files and read and modify the browser’s download history (downloads): This permission allows a user to export selected formhistory data entries to the users computer.
